Ugh, yes, I’ve dealt with this. That weird bright spot on the iPad Pro screen? I noticed mine a few months ago, and it was driving me a little crazy.

At first, I thought maybe I just smudged something or it was a fingerprint, but no, it doesn’t go away.

It’s like a little glowing blob, right in the middle of the screen. Super distracting, especially when I’m watching Netflix or just scrolling in the dark.

So I Googled around (as we all do), and it turns out it’s a pretty common issue with some iPad Pro models, especially the 10.5” one.

It’s a hardware thing, something inside the iPad is pressing up behind the display.

It’s not something you can fix yourself, and honestly? No update or reset is going to help.

If your iPad is still under warranty or AppleCare, definitely take it to Apple.

I made a Genius Bar appointment, and they didn’t even make a big deal out of it. They checked it, saw the spot, and offered a replacement. Super smooth.

If your warranty’s expired, though… yeah, it gets tricky.

Some people just deal with it if it’s not too bad (I did for a while), but if it gets worse, the only real fix is a screen replacement, and that can be pricey.

So yeah — not your fault, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just a design issue a lot of us have run into.
